High School to Adult Students
Saturday, August 7, 2021 9 AM – 1 PM
Caricature is an old and respected art form. It’s also a lucrative sideline for a professional artist. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the ways to exaggerate and simplify an individual’s distinctive features to depict someone in a way that’s both funny and instantly recognizable. The instructor has been drawing caricatures professionally for over 30 years, and has learned to draw them both at leisure and under intense time pressure. He’ll draw caricature of each of the students, and they in turn will draw each other and celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, politics, and sports.
Fully vaccinated students over the age of 12 may attend in-person classes without a mask.
